There are two portions of Communicating Christ’s Love for the Family Initiative. The first portion is Pastoral Perspectives and the second is Marital and Parental Reflections. They are both an online resource program for pastors and spouses/parents who want to discover meaningful, intimate and virtuous ways of authentically revealing the beauty, goodness and truth of marriage and family life.
The Pastoral Perspectives portion of the initiative will comprise of writings from experienced ordained priests, religious and lay pastoral workers throughout a particular diocese or archdiocese. Each of the writings contributed have a pastoral focus on certain challenges that marriages and families encounter in their daily life. For example; communication, finances, miscarriage, spirituality, raising children, addictions and so forth. All writings are principally a compilation of actual encounters and suggestions of best pastoral practices from knowledgeable and experienced pastors and lay pastoral workers.
The Marital and Parental Reflections portion of the initiative is similar. However, they consist of writings from husbands and wives, fathers and mothers and even grandfathers and grandmothers whose main purpose is to reflect on their best marital and parental practices they have experienced in their own marriage and family life. For example; ways to build an abundantly joy-filled marriage, traditional family rituals that can build intimacy and bring about virtuousness in every member of the family, how to lift one another up when a family member has critical or underlying health issues, approaches to raising young children in the world today and so forth.
These writings are essentially a collection of marital and parental reflections from catholic lay persons who have successfully approached specific challenges in their marriage and family life and discovered hopeful, faithful and charitable paths to overcoming them.
All writings that are submitted do not contain real names, places, things or specific recognizable situations or actual quotations that could allude to the identity of individuals, couples or families that are written about. Deep care and consideration are taken into account before each written document is posted as a resource online. Each written document is thoughtfully edited by at least two genuine witnesses to the teachings of the Church and who are sensitive to the direction of the Holy Spirit.
(Estimated Launch date of PHASE III is Summer 2024)
